Greetings from ‘the Orchids of the Northern City’ of Thailand

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure and honor to cordially invite you to the International Conference on Sports and Exercise Science (ICSES 2010) which is the joint conference with the 2010 Pre-ASEAN University Games sports scientific meeting, which will be held from 11th to 14th December 2010 at Centara Duangtawan Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand. The conference is a collaboration of the Consortium of Sports Science and Physical Education Deans, the University Boards of Thailand and the Sports Science Society of Thailand.

The conference theme, Exercise & Sports as Medicine, is in concurrent with the theme of American College of Sports Medicine to focus on the use of exercises and sports as an effective tool for prevention, treatment and management of various health conditions. In addition, it can lead to numerous improvements in public health. More than 300 professionals and experts in sports and exercise sciences from all over Asia, USA and Australia will join this international event. The conference featured keynote lectures, symposia and presentations which intends to bridge the gap between researchers and practitioners in the fields of exercise and sports sciences around the world to disseminate scientific knowledge and information, to exchange ideas and to explore possible collaboration opportunities for both in academic and professional human resources in the region. Furthermore, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all speakers for accepting our invitation to be a crucial part of this conference. We are pleased that you share your research reports that will be contributive and advantageous to both local and international scientists.

Besides the well-established scientific program, I hope you have ample opportunities to enjoy the various social and cultural aspects of Chiang Mai, one of the most fascinating and vibrant cities in the northern part of Thailand.
